Port City Apparel and Without Limits Apparel
In September of 2011 Tom Clifford of Without Limits Coaching walked into our office after being referred by a friend who thought Port City Apparel may be able to assist him with his race apparel for the Quintiles/Wrightsville Beach Marathon event in March of 2012. He was wearing a worn grey hoodie with his running man Without Limits logo. It was easy to see why Tom had a very strong following for his coaching business, his energy and passion were very evident, but the real catch for us was his commitment to seeing his running club and marathon event participants have the BEST product and experience possible. We took notice of the logo for Without Limits his brother developed, and we felt that this mark along with Tom’s persona were very compelling. Our interest in working with him was very strong. Over the next several months we got to know Tom and his wife Annette as we worked through the development of the Quintiles Wrightsville Beach Marathon apparel and event SWAG.
PCA saw the WOL mark had great potential for branding beyond the local race and event market, and we began to meet regularly with Tom and Annette to develop their new Without Limits brand. To refresh your memory Port City Apparel has worked with some of the largest globally known brands over the past 20 years including Monster Energy, Disney, Universal, Coca Cola to name a few. Our team of experts in brand development bring so much to every project we engage.
The development and exposure that the WOL brand has experienced has been amazing, considering the real work for developing this brand started only a year ago. As you read in our last blog post, the Beach 2 Battleship Triathlon was the first major event to be fully developed and produced by Port City Apparel and the Without Limits brand, the reviews were amazing both from the participants and organizers alike.
You will see and hear much more from this powerful partnership in the coming months as we continue to contract with more high profile events. We are truly excited to see the results of so much hard work, but more importantly it is gratifying to see our awesome ideas turn into great product that event participants and organizers rave about. We are looking forward to an incredible 2013 and beyond.
